Madison Street Capital Adds Richard Rodgers as Senior Managing Director

Industry Veteran Brings Decades of Investment Banking Experience to Chicago Based International Investment Banking Firm

Chicago – (January 2015) – Madison Street Capital is pleased to announce the addition of Richard Rodgers as Senior Managing Director to its capital markets team.  At Madison Street Capital, Mr. Rodgers will lead the development of the firm’s Energy practice as well as assisting clients in a variety of industries in meeting their strategic and financial goals.  The announcement was made by Madison Street Capital CEO Charles Botchway.

Before joining Madison Street Capital, Mr. Rodgers served as CEO and Managing Director of Montgomery Street Financial Services LLC. (MSF), one of San Francisco’s leading middle market investment banking firms.  Prior to his tenure at MSF, he held several senior executive positons at Bank of America (B of A), including: Vice-President of National Sales for B of A’s Leasing & Capital Group, Vice President-Manager of Syndications, President/CEO of BA Credit Corporation, and Managing Director of Distributions, Sales & Trading.  Under his leadership at B of A, Mr. Rodgers was responsible for over $200 Billion in highly successful structured financings.

Beginning his career in Chicago with IBM, Mr. Rodgers has gone on to become the first Director of Marketing for BRAE Corporation and later Vice President of TXL Securities Corporation, where he was responsible for the creation of public (S-1) and private (Reg D) leasing partnerships, including US Windpower Partners 1981-1, one of the first alternative energy partnerships formed in the US.  A pioneer in the creation of the synthetic lease, Mr. Rodgers has arranged $40 Billion in Real Estate financings for notable developments, including: Goldman Sachs Tower, Merrill Lynch Headquarters, Time Warner Center-Columbus Circle, Tower at First National Center, The CTA Green Line, The GM Renaissance Center and the Charles Schwab Headquarters.

Mr. Rodgers earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business and earned his BA degree form Chapman University College while serving as an active duty service member in the United States Air Force.
